"Very helpful staff with an amazing buffet breakfast. Balcony views of the seaside are magnificent. Very clean rooms but with a few areas that may have been missed"
"Our family of 3 had a wonderful time . Staff deserve top marks for being professional, always friendly, cheerful and helpful. The rooms were clean and we enjoyed the balcony with the seaview. The beach was very clean and we enjoyed watching the stars at night. We spent one whole day relaxing at the hotel , visiting the spa and the gym."
"Had a fantastic time staying at the hotel, very clean comfortable and the kids really enjoyed the amenities the pool, games night and free pop corn.
The breakfast was on point too."
"The hotel was extremely clean. Staff was very kind and welcoming and very helpful. Breakfast and in house restaurant had some of the best food on the island."
"The staff is very attentive to all our needs. The spa is best weโve experienced! Wildlife viewing from our room and restaurants was incredible! This resort is a fantastic adventure, especially for couples."
"Our stay at Camar Resort was okay overall, but the property was not as clean as it appeared in the photos on their website. The shower also had a drainage issue โ the water did not drain properly and took hours to clear, which made it seem like it may not have been built or maintained properly.
On the positive side, the breakfast was okay and the staff were friendly and pleasant to deal with."
"The area around the pool wasn't cleared overnight with towels left behind by guests. The toilets by the restaurant wasn't cleaned.
However, the breakfast buffet was excellent and the choices of food were amazing.
Credit to the kitchen crew for the delicious food. Also, credit to the young intern from Bali. Very cheerful, friendly and a delight to talk to."
"All staff friendly and attentive. Amazing breakfast with great selection to cater for all tastes. Beautiful grounds, quiet and location, note the property has a beautiful beach view but not for swimming. 6 mins drive from airport, 15 mins from skyride attraction and 20 mins pentai chaning ( main beach area). We had a wonderful stay for 3 nights."
"It was expensive, but the location was convenient because it was close to the airport.
There was some fruit in the room, which was enough for me instead of having dinner.
I also liked that I could call the shuttle bus easily even though Iโm not very confident in my English.
It was also great that all the drinks in the room were complimentary."

"Recently stayed in Sep 2026. The hotel has undergone a huge refurbishment yet still feels a little creaky and old. Credit has to be given to the staff, everyone is so friendly and helpful. But as mentioned, the maintenance and facilities management of this hotel could be greatly improved.
Cons: hotel room feels a bit old and dusty. Service can be a little slow. The resort is pretty big and we used the buggies a lot. Buggies are on call, not a hop on/off service which means sometimes you have to wait up to 10 minutes for the buggy to reach you (you can walk within 5 to the main lobby)
Breakfast was okay, omelettes were great but the variety was not much.
Pros: resort is absolutely beautiful. Location is perfectly beachfront situated. Breakfast in pelangi grill comes with some insane views (but the breakfast here is smaller than the main restaurant). Walking to pantai cenang is about 10 minutes from here. The pool is amazing, clean and delightfully warm. The resort itself wasnโt too busy and the main areas are kept very clean and zen. Welcome drinks were refreshing and lovely."
The Danna Langkawi - A Member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World
10/10 Excellent
"We have just returned from a wonderful stay at The Danna.
From the moment we arrived, every member of staff made us feel incredibly welcome. From the porters, concierges & reception team to housekeeping, the F&B staff & the Resort Manager, everyone was professional, warm & cheerful, & nothing ever seemed too much trouble.
Remarkably staff appeared to know which room we were staying in, how long we had been there & even how much time remained of our holiday. We were made to feel very special, something we saw being extended to all guests throughout our stay. We're not usually ones for any fuss, but all the thoughtful touches were delivered so discreetly and naturally that it simply enhanced the experience.
Our room (419), a Grand Marina View room, was exceptionally spacious & comfortable, with a king-size bed, armchairs, dressing table, two wardrobes, plenty of storage, a large balcony & a large bathroom with a bathtub, walk-in rain shower & double sinks.
We also appreciated the daily replenishment of filtered water, Nespresso pods & TWG tea bags, along with delicious gluten-free sweet treats to accommodate a dietary requirement.
Housekeeping was outstanding throughout (with special thanks to Karmila, Fatin & Amim for their excellent service).
The restaurants were all superb & catered for allergens very well; staff awareness & knowledge of ingredients made us feel confident we were in safe hands. Special thanks to Hakimi, Ilah, Fatihah, the Chefs & all the F&B team."
"We stayed here before their grand opening.
Pros:
Some of the staff were really outstanding. Shoutout to Aiman, Hanif, Aunie, Syakim and Aziz.
Beautiful grounds - landscaping was really well done. The resort was built around the trees in the main garden and the grounds are kept in great condition.
Mingzhu is an incredible restaurant and all props to the chef and the team.
Really nice gym.
Cons:
No netflix on the TVs, but HDMI cables are available.
Staff can sometimes take ages to fulfill requests. We called for ice and cutlery on two separate occasions and both times it took 45 mins and a reminder call to come.
Small details are off - our room had some fixtures coming off the wall already, and even some cracks in the paint on the walls.
Not all staff are equal - there were some staff that really acknowledged our presence and made us feel welcomed while some other staff would just walk past us without acknowledgement or care.
The beach - the beach view and sunset is incredible, but the sand itself is rough and has bits of rock and shale, probably from the construction. I was playing volleyball and cut my knee pretty badly diving for the ball.
For some reason the restaurants on site are disconnected from room service, so I had to go down to the restaurant itself to order food back to the room.
Welcome drink is delicious but cannot be ordered to the room.
!! Beware of getting rooms on the east wing facing out of the resort - the view is horrible and construction is loud."
"Excellent beach and pool. Uniquely set in the middle of rainforest. Main restaurant is great for breakfast but would try something else for dinner. TA rating should be much higher."
