Absolutely fantastic stay at Ambong Pool Villas. My wife and I visited for our honeymoon and stayed in the Kemoja villa. It was absolutely exceptional and the staff made us feel so welcome from the minute we arrived. Cannot fault anything during our stay. The on site spa at the Ambong Ambong hotel is second to none with some of the best spa treatments I’ve ever had. Will definitely return and if you’re thinking of booking for a special occasion, it’s absolutely worth every penny and I can’t wait to return. 10/10!

What a fantastic pool villa!

I’d give Ambong 11/10 stars if I could. We had such an amazing stay for 8 nights in a deluxe sunset pool villa. The service was excellent, the staff were amazing and friendly, the food was superb! We loved all the food at Rimba and the Pegaga vegan cafe on site. The Amaala spa was great - had multiple massages. The Amaala Signature 90 mins treatment was great. The pool villas are on a steep hillside, so guests with mobility issues may need to carefully consider suitability - though a car shuttle was offered whenever requested. The monkeys can be a bit cheeky and steal food so just be mindful of what you leave lying around. I can’t recommend Ambong pool villas enough. We had a very very relaxing stay.

The “little” Datai on Langkawi

Really amazing place. If you are up for a super relaxing stay, Ambong Pool Villas is a great option. Super helpful staff are reachable via WhatsApp all day to provide service and advice. You can choose meals in your villa or in the resort restaurant. The villas are meticulously cleaned twice a day, including the pools (to remove leaves etc). The view of the surrounding environment from inside the villa is enhanced by huge windows that face the pool. Lots to observe, both flora and fauna. Villa 1 (Kemarong) was our villa, which offered amazing views of the bay and islands. It was also a great spot for sunset and moonrise.

Best hotel in Langkawi!

We stayed at Ambong pool villa for 9 nights, we had the best experience ever. The villas were amazing, we tried four different villas and each one had its own unique touch. The service and the staff was extraordinary, they went above and beyond our expectations. From the personal engagement of every member from the Ambong team to the overall willingness to solve every question and request that you might have. We couldn't be more satisfied!! We will most definetly return!

Honest honest review from a frequent traveler

Ambong service was impeccable, with their WhatsApp line, we get almost instant help for anything. We really liked the staff like Lina and a few other young smiley men who helped us at the restaurant and with our suitcases. We really have no complain about the staff. We also enjoyed the food there, the fruits, the breakfast just start off your day in a very positive way. We look forward to it every day after we wake up! The wholesome breakfast n local Nasi lemak set were my favourite! The only two things I’d like to see improvements on —- the towels look really worn out. I hope the owner will invest a little to improve on this. Honestly with the money we pay each night, we expect better towels. Also the inside of the Villa was much smaller than what we expected. On the description it says 180+ sqm, we were expecting just the inside area of the villa (house) as what we stayed in Thailand or other countries. But after getting in, I think that’s the total size of the pool area + house + outdoor resting area. I think they should indicate better the size is not the house area. To avoid misunderstanding. Overall the software (people service & food) were good, but the hardware, there are room for improvements. Overall we enjoyed the stay!

一切都很美好，從房間就能看到大海及樹林，抵達度假村當天就有很多隻可愛的小猴子迎接我們。 很野外、很叢林、很浪漫💕 管家及所有服務人員都非常友善且有耐心。 謝謝安彭給我們一個很美好的假期！ 雖然房門外就有一個冰箱，但如果能在房間裡面放一個小冰箱就更完美😍！ 男友偷偷跟房務人員說是來幫我慶生的，她們還特地在第二天的床上用各種花草擺出Happy Birthday.超級感動！ 飯店在早上還有提供免費的瑜伽課程～

Je suis decu par le resort. Les photos sont trompeuses. La piscine est toute la journée a l'ombre donc l'eau est toujours froide. Le resort est dans un endroit très isolé donc loin a distance de marche. L'hotel nous a envoye vers un prestataire pour aller sur une ile privée mais ils se sont arrangé pour nous faire payer 2 fois plus cher que les autres prestataires. On s'en est rendu compte qu'après malheureusement. Et enfin, le prix de l'hôtel n'est pas du tout justifié. Pour ce prix, j'aurais du prendre le Ritz Carlton . Ce n'est pas du tout un 5 etoiles. ls nous ont dégoûté de Langkawi

If you are looking for luxury holidays but not necessarily pretentious that provides you with a dreamy villa, your own swimming pool, endless views all this while being in the nature - with whatever that may include - then this is your place! If you add the amazing service, everyone goes above and beyond for your accommodation while having respected privacy and seclusion. Die Villen liegen alle auf einem Hügel im Dschungel mit mehr oder weniger gutem Blick auf das Meer. Wir hatten eine Villa, die Meerblick hatte, aber von außen nicht einsehbar war. Das fiel uns bei unserem Aufenthalt auf: - vereinzelter Fluglärm der dann sehr laut war - immer wieder Baulärm und Lärm von Booten, Autos - Hauptstrommast direkt neben Villen-Anlage - Fernsehempfang funktionierte auch nach einer Woche nicht Super günstiger Wäscheservice Frühstück: tolle Auswahl, kein Bufett, mit sehr guter Qualität Evelyn, Manager für Gästebetreuung, immer erreichbar und sehr bemüht die Gäste immer zufrieden zu stellen. Toller Job, den sie macht. Service im Restaurant sehr nett und hilfsbereit Ausblick der Villen ist einmalig schön Lage nahe zweier Strände (u.a. Cenang, dem Hauptstrand von Langkawi) ~ sehr viele Jetboats am Cenang Beach und nächstgelegendem Strand Alle Räume sind sehr großzügig und schön designed wenn Villa nicht nach Abreise sofort wieder gebucht wurde, ist ein späterer Checkout Zeit möglich insgesamt ist der Service hervorragend, besonders Petrus konnte uns immer bei Problemen helfen Es ist zwar doppelt so teuer wie The Danna, aber dafür hat meinen eine eigene große Villa mit herrlichem Pool

Ambong pool villas June 2019

We had a very positive experience of staying in Ambong Pool Villas. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Local transport is provided by the villa. As soon as we arrived snacks were provided, the hospitality was unquestionable.

Séjour très agréable. Villa Sawarak avec une vue juste magnifique. Propre, petit-déjeuner offert très bon. Personnel extrêmement sympa et très accueillant (dont Ayman et les autres dont nous avons oubliés leurs prenom). Déplacement avec conducteur offert tous les jours vers Cenang (centre touristique). Surprise par les responsables de l'hôtel pour notre lune de miel. On espère retourner sans hésitation. On le conseille à tous le monde.

Amazing, amazing view. Well worth the splurge!

What an amazing experience! We definitely splurged on this place and were so delighted once we got there. The highlight of our trip. Pick a sunset ocean view room. The views are incredible. You feel so secluded. The only noise is from the jungle (and the airplanes flying overheard every 30 mins or so). Food isn't great but the drinks are and the place is so stunning that it really doesn't matter. Fun welcome with drinks and snacks, free snacks in the room, and a cell phone to call them for any of your needs. The staff is awesome. Would definitely recommend a stay for something special.

A luxury hotel in the jungle facing sea view

We discover about Ambong-Ambong Poolvilla when we are in Langkawi. So we decide to try out and even our stay are short, we enjoy every moment from the time we arrived. Each vila have owned private pool. We really enjoy the pool and the view. Our villa have amazing view during sunset and very cozy. Congrats to the owner. Sure we will return again.
