It was an okay resort not a luxury but not too shabby either. I stayed at The Datai the night before, my review for the stay here probably tainted.Nothing is comparable to Datai ! The arrival lobby is grand enough for local standard, slightly an outdated layout. We stayed for 2 nights at the ocean-view Villa, when we we brought by the buggy to the Villa I questioned the driver should you drop us at that "Over water Villa"? Because thats where I thought our accommodation was ! Funny I misinterpret the word ''Sea View" as "On Water". RM200 extra if I want to switch to that villa. However I think Im lucky not to stay at the Over Water villas the sound of wave was too loud literally around you. The stayer probably locking their window tightly to be able to sleep, I could hear the loud wave form my villa which was on the hilly side when open my door. Was it because of Monsoon season the waves were that wild? Overall the breakfast buffet selection was GOOD, mainly local fare ! I had all that I wanted to eat. The pool was big enough for small family trip, a few meters down there was white sandy private beach. There were not many people at the pool only us and another family probably due to covid-19. And it was raining, we were swimming in rain. The room service staff was very friendly, sometimes too friendly that she almost forgot that we were guests not her friends or acquaintance .
