A very pleasant 2 day stay in Alor Setar.

A very pleasant 2 day stay at the hotel. The room allocated was spacious, clean and comfortable. I used the gym and swimming facilities and both were good. I used the hotel for breakfast and for evening meals and both were very good with a wide range of selection. All of the staff I encountered were very friendly and courteous. The main tourist sites within the city were only 15 minutes drive away or 12 Ringgit (£2) by taxi.

The hotel is surrounded by shopping malls, shops, restaurants and street food stalls. Nice place. Just suggestion to add more light inside the room, it’s quite uncomfortable for me with vision problems. Also dirty kettle.

I found that the room was not in good condition. The wallpaper is peeled off, and the ambiance was gloomy due to poor lighting. The janitor did not adequately clean the shower cubicle. The toilet's ventilation fan made loud squeaky noises.

Problem with the Internet. Non of the staff is helpful in this sense. Called numerous time with no reply. Even went down to the reception but did not get any help. During check out tried to talk to the duty manager but does not treat customer properly by not attending. Only gave a call after left the place.
