Find out more about Mid Valley City

About Mid Valley

Mid Valley is an exciting district in Kuala Lumpur known for its shopping and entertainment centres. It is also home to Istana Negara, or the King’s Palace. This is a unique site for tourists, and the reigning king rotates in every five years from sultanates across Malaysia. Mid Valley, which is linked directly to Bangsar via an overpass, is a relatively new development which has become very popular for shopping, thanks to the perpetually packed MidValley Megamall.

Don’t Miss

Taman Tasik Perdama Lake Gardens is an idyllic spot for nature lovers to relax and unwind. The park is built around an artificial lake and the 227-acre park is extremely popular and has a number of attractions including a bird park, orchid garden and butterfly park.

Brickfields (one of the oldest Indian settlements in the country) is Malaysia’s official Little India. The area is comprised of several streets largely populated with Indian stores and restaurants; everything from traditional Indian goods such as spices and incense, to local delicacies and more is sold here.

Restaurants and Bars

Mid Valley and its neighbour Bangsar boast a myriad of restaurants, bars and exciting nightspots. Visitors to Mid Valley can choose to eat at one of the many hip and trendy bistros and cafés or visit the bustling Mid Valley shopping mall which boasts over 100 restaurants and other dining options.

Considered an institution on Kuala Lumpur’s food scene, Jarrod& Rawlins is an award- winning Western restaurant in Bangsar with a glowing reputation for British-inspired food. Breakfast is extremely popular here and certainly pulls in the crowds.

Shopping

At the heart of Mid Valley City is Mid Valley Megamall, an impressive shopping centre anchored by major department stores. There are more than 400 shops inside, and avid shoppers can spend an entire weekend here.

The Gardens at Mid Valley are connected to Mid Valley Megamall which houses approximately 200 stores spread across its six floors and is orientated towards high-end international labels such as DKNY, Hermes and Michael Kors.
