Hotels near Kiyamachi Street

"I've read all the reviews, and I'm baffled by any negative responses. This hotel exceeded our expectations. We're a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 teenagers) and we booked the family quad (7th floor room) which was simply amazing. 2 bathrooms, sitting area and plenty of room- this was a big room even by American standards. Plenty of amenities: waters daily, sleep tablets, toothbrushes, brushes, pajamas to wear, coffee/soda in the basement, pour over drip coffee and kettle in the room. I just can't think of anything to complain about. I see what people have said about it being a bit far from things, as it was maybe a 15 minute walk to Nishiki Market or Gion district, but that was never a problem for us. The train stop was 200 meters away from the hotel entrance. The convenience stores were right below us. The staff brought us cappuccinos as we checked in. And the sweet hotel gym had a full set of free weights, 2 bikes, a few treadmills and other equipment. It was nicer than many American gyms. Again- nothing to complain about here! Beautiful hotel. "

"Lovely hotel in Kyoto. Our garden room was very nice with a modern feel. Staff all very helpful. Happy for us to leave our cases on our last to day and collect later. Very close to metro stations, restaurants and bars. Easy walk to many areas including Nishiki market, Imperial Palace and across the bridge to Yasaka and Sannenzaka. Would definitely stay again. "
