Hotel Keluarga di Gion

"First of all, I wanna say don’t be alarmed by the lack of reviews. The hotel is new, it just opened 3 months ago. For the price, the quality is outstanding. Big room and you have everything you need. They change the towels daily and tidy up the room, which is unusual for hotels in Japan. Most hotels claim to have eco-friendly service and don’t offer daily housekeeping. There’s a lounge for guests open from 7 AM to midnight with snacks, pastries and drinks, including alcohol. I wanna thank Igor...

"Nice and clean room in a great location. Helpfull and pleasant staff. For breakfast go to Shinshindo."

"The room with the balcony, it has large steel bars making it feel like a cage, there is mold around where the a/c blows out. The hotel is very western and not traditional Japanese at all. There is no coffee or tea maker in the room, downstairs only. The staff is nice but European, great for people who are concerned about the language barrier. It is far from the train station but close to the gion district. I traveled Japan for 25 days and this was one of my least impressive stays."

"Loved the location of this hotel. The room was a little small compared to our others throughout the stay but we had an amazing, wall to wall king size bed. Just wish there was an small area in the room for luggage"

"Such a special stay in a wonderful location. The blend of contemporary and traditional design and living has been done well. We didn’t eat at the hotel but grabbed breakfast from the Lawson just across from the property. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The highlight of the stay was the Maiko performance."
