The hotel is placed in between the old and french quarters making it easy to get to both areas. There was no commercial buildings in front the hotel so the area is quieter than most hotels. But most importantly the staff were great. They noted my birthday and provided a cake during my stay! They also provided a small souvenir coffee upon departure.

excellent customer service. staffs are all very well-trained. we booked for 2 nights then went for Halong bay trip; when we re-checked it; luggage which we kept at hotel already in the room prior our arrival. We even got a small gift on the last night of our stay.

I love the hospitality from EHG. It was an excellent 1 night stay. We were welcomed by the Manager On Duty Mr Nguyen Long, served alongside with the refreshing cold towel and welcome drinks. The surprise was when Mr Nguyen Long told us that our room was being upgraded! It was totally an amazing experience on our 1st visit to Vietnam. The staffs made us feel like home. We wish we could change our plan and stay longer with EHG. :-P

Service was amazing. There was a bit of hiccup and this was sorted out by the Front Office Manager, Ms Anna. I was addressed by name during check-in and during breakfast! I always love small boutique hotels, whereby the personalized service would be extended. Looking forward to return!

Wonderful Stay – Highly Recommended
We had a wonderful stay at GRAND HÔTEL du LAC Hanoi. From the moment we checked in until the day we checked out, the entire hotel team was incredibly warm, friendly, and welcoming.
What really stood out to us was the hospitality shown by everyone we encountered — from the bellboys and reception team to housekeeping, as well as the staff at the restaurant and bar. Everyone made us feel genuinely welcome throughout our stay.
