"I enjoyed my stay at The Thistle. The property was a bit older and not modern, but there were ample amenities, and you cannot beat the vibrant location. It is in walking distance to the Tower of London, the tube station, the docks, and all sorts of international eating."

"The Derby is a boutique hotel with high end decor and finishings. The staff was helpful and went out of their way to have our room ready prior to the standard check in time. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable and the breakfast buffet was excellent. The room size was smaller than I expected for a King Suite. The small window and slanted ceilings made it seem even smaller. A bench or luggage rack would’ve been helpful as well. Overall, we enjoyed our stay."

"Great property close to the train station that is connected to the ExCel center (trains, not the hotel). The hotel itself is beautiful, clean, and the staff goes above and beyond! My room was large with a huge window seat where I could relax, get work done or just read a book while enjoying the view. The king sized bed was large and comfortable with high end sheets and pillows. The bathroom was huge and had a shower, separate tub, and great lighting. There were robes slippers and nice...

"Clean room, just a little too small for a standard queen bed. Only two feet from the bed and the tv on the opposite wall. Small chair and a table on the side...that makes it hard to turn around. Or work on ya computer..unless u sit on ya bed... house keeping not great. Everything else was good or up to standard"

"I’ve stayed at this hotel 5 times over the last 4 years and had a really disappointing stay during my most recent trip. I’m not sure if there has been a management change within the last 10 months, but I found the staff far less friendly overall throughout the check-in/out process, and unbelievably rude in the restaurants located in the hotel. Although the rooms are still nice and the location is very convenient the experiences with staff within the hotel will probably deter me from staying here...

"I've stayed here several times and I've always been so impressed. This time I was disappointed, the check in was slow and disorganised, the room carpet hadn't been hoovered and the shower was leaking into the room. We didn't realise there was a leak till we got back after a concert and we were too tired to try and change rooms. I hope its just a blip because I love everything about this hotel. We did speak to the manager at check out so I hope they get it sorted. The bedding and towels were...

"The hotel was walking distance from the underground and one stop to the O2 arena if you are watching concert. It is nearby to some restaurant and shopping stores underground. The staff are very helpful. There is a kettle in the room and water. We had a good night sleep. Good for overnight stay."
