"For what it is, it's a 5 star hotel. Couldn't be in a better location if you value ease coming into and leaving the city. Wonderful staff, comfortable rooms, clean and simple accommodations. This is an "inexpensive" hotel option but gives you everything you need except luxury. There are plenty of those hotels throughout the city if that's what you're looking for. As a reminder, breakfast is not included and as of April 2026 cost 10 euro per person. The offerings were simple but sufficient....

"Me encantó la limpieza, rapidez del servicio al llegar, y muy fácil.
Nos explicaron todo lo necesario al llegar y al salir, sobre mejores rutas y horarios.
Puedes dejar tu equipaje al salir o al llegar si llegas temprano . Llegamos antes de la hora y nos dieron la habitación , excelente desayuno incluido. La habitación amplia limpia, segura y bellísima vista.
Área segura y bastante accesible al llegar en tren y salir en bus.
Puedes caminar a todo lado desde tu hotel muy bien.

"Excellent Hotel! Nice fresh room and very clean. Breakfast was excellent with many choices - hot and cold. Location is excellent - in the heart of the San Marco minutes from Piazza San Marco. Located on a nice little Campo (square) with many restaurant choices. Windows are insulated so significantly reduce outside noise. We really enjoyed our stay at the Rio!"

"Second time I've stayed here and would thoroughly recommend. Fantastic location, walking distance to the airport for morning flight. Free hot drinks from machine, self service breakfast with great selection. Juice, coffee, toasties, savouries, fruit, yogurts etc. Was able to have a lovely breakfast while saving a fortune on the airport prices. While I didn't go out in the evening this time, there are bars and restaurants in Tessera whish I have been to before and would also recommend."
