"The log cabin lodge is run by Sasaki San and his mum. Lovely people. The place was clean and very quiet. All we heard were the birds and great view of the lake. Sunset made the island shine and a rainbow to appear. Since the cabin is surrounded by nature, just keep the insect screens in place when the verandah doors are open and all is good. "We had one of the tents, which was very comfortable and unique. Excellent staff, and the dinner served outside our tent on a private BBQ was incredible. Also the best breakfast we had in Japan. We rode from Onomichi almost all the way to Imabari, then turned around and rode to Wakka, getting there by 4 pm (good decision because it started to sprinkle rain.) "Absolutely would stay here again and recommend to anyone looking for a quiet, romantic, or even family get away at a great value. The villa we stayed in was Tsutsuji (sp?). It was much more than expected. Clean, comfortable beds, very nice indoor soaking tub and outdoor jetted tub. Needed Google translate to figure out tub and bidet controls. Multilingual instructions on operation would've been helpful. No microwave in room. The plan included Japanese BBQ dinner and breakfast for two....
