The staff were excellent—friendly and helpful. The location was convenient enough, though a bit far from town. It’s best if you have your own car rather than rely on public transportation.

The hotel itself is excellent! We loved our stay. It’s perfect if you’re looking for a relaxing stay surrounded by natural beauty. Only downside is there aren’t many amenities within walking distance besides a little tourist area. There is easy access to the local bus if you don’t mind spending 30 minutes going into town.

Tranquil hotel with ample space for relaxation throughout the property. Free car service in and out, even has a kids playroom that helped to entertain my young 15mo while my husband and I took turns for onsen. Great service and also in room dining.

One of a kind place where I would like to visit every season to experience how Hoshinoya changes per season. Recommend to book a dinner 2days prior to visit, since there very few options for dinner place.

my husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary at Hoshinoya Karuizawa. We had a wonderful stay. The onsen within the hotel was really good. Both of us enjoyed the facilities. We would like to especially thank the staff Miyu( dining),Saru, Takahashi(spa) and Leo san (front desk ) who took care of us during our stay .
