"Staff were amazing from start to finish. The room was big, clean an bed was very comfortable. Only 1 chair in the room so had to sit on the bed to watch telly. Food was good especially Sunday Roast which was so tasty and a really good sized portion. Met the owner while out walking and she recognised us and was very friendly gave us advice on our walk and looked forward to seeing us at lunchtime. Atmosphere was buzzing and the place had a real family vibe despite the eclectic mix of clientele....

My room had all the modern amenities but with great character, not soulless like many hotels. Staff was professional, helpful, and kind. Great for a solo woman traveler."
