"KEEP AWAY!! Do NOT stay here.
Old, dirty, rude, dilapidated, inconvenient, NO handicap access, NO ramp, NO bellman, NO courtesy. You have to carry your own bags several hundred feet through the cobblestone streets past the fountain through mobs of tourists before you reach the hotel front door steps. Carry your bags up the front stairs to the front desk (NO lobby). Once checked in carry your own bags up creaky steep stairs or take your life in your hands by taking the tiny make-shift elevator...

"Excellent hotel with friendly efficient staff in a convenient location - 15 mins walk to Trevi fountain, under 30 mins walk to colosseum etc, or the metro station is very close if you want to save your feet.
We stayed in a room on the 4th floor overlooking the piazza and it was very quiet by Rome standards ie some police sirens were audible now and then but not a problem. Some other reviews mentioned noise from the metro passing underneath the hotel but this really wasn’t an issue and could...

"Our first stay there a week prior was fantastic. This time it was in a room w plumbing issues, which ran all night and the drains did not drain in the morning. That room should have never been used until the plumbing was fixed."

"This hotel is within walking distance of all the major sites you are dying to see. We opted not to have the hotel breakfast but found a small place "COTTAGE" next door that was excellent. The room is slightly smaller but comfortable. However, be prepared that as you walk to visit the sites there is construction of a new train line and you will walk around in circles. Food options are numerous as you walk the area. Staff was friendly and helpful with directions."

"Our stay at Maison Tritone exceeded all expectations. The property is well-appointed and the daily breakfast was fresh and delicious. The staff was so welcoming and assisted with arranging airport and cruise port transportation. We felt at home and very well cared for. The location is central and within walking distance to many attractions. We are planning on returning to Rome and would not stay anywhere but this hotel. Cannot recommend enough. While the location is close to the Trevi Fountain, in reality Rome is so walkable that most hotels will be near food and shops. It is extremely busy and noisy.
