Its only about a 45 minute from New York City and love being able to visit New York City and then get some peace and quiet from that busy city. The location of the home is perfect and can walk to the beach about two blocks away. There is a laundry mat around the corner and can knock out your laundry fast. "Overall it was great. When we arrived we were greeted by the staff who helped us with our luggage. When we first arrived into our room it was less than what we expected but the next day I went back to reception to see if we could move and we were sent to the 12flr (from the 4th) and wow! Honestly big upgrade. Met our expectations to 100%. To pay for breakfast to be included is a bit of a shcam. You still pay but from a ‘special menu’. I wouldn’t do that again. Instead I’d go down the street and buy breakfast at Carve diner. It was the essence of New York including NY accents and great food. The location CANNOT be beat. It was the best part. When I go back I’d stay there again. "

"We have been staying at The Empire 1-2 times per year for 15 years to attend the ballet at Lincoln Center. It is a simple walk across the street to the theater, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. We have always been happy with our room, the staff is excellent and gracious. I highly recommend the hotel."
