"Comfortable stay! walkable distance to all major attractions and restaurants. right next to the boardwalk and a beautiful coastal trail. we didn't use our car in Monterey. the staff is polite and extremely helpful. the room was quite spacious and clean with all the basics like coffee machine, fridge, storage. the rooms even had a small balcony. the only drawback was the small pool and jacuzzi which was crowded by kids. they have a huge dining area and two restaurants on property though we didn't...

"I had a very disappointing experience during my stay at Monterey Beach Hotel. I was initially assigned room 118, which was saturated with cigarette smoke. The odor was overwhelming and completely unacceptable, especially for a non-smoking property. After requesting a change, I was moved to room 126, which unfortunately was located next to a generator. The noise from the generator ran throughout the night and made it nearly impossible to sleep. As a result, I did not get any rest and left...

"The restaurant is delicious. The staff amazing. The waitress Jade was phenomenal, caring and attentive. The breakfast was the best! The pancakes and the butter were Devine. The breakfast waitress Ella was super . The amenities are great… they have morning yoga classes on Wednesdays! "

"Room 103 is a cannery row room but also oceanside balcony. So if looking for a ocean view cheaper, ask for that room. "
