"First off , for the price this resort is very OUTDATED . Not worth it in my opinion . Our stay was not as expected. They let guest bring outside guest 20+ into the pool area knowing space is limited which caused myself and other guest who are paying for the amenities unable to use said amenities. Not just that , the front desk staff we spoke to at check in and the day after acted very bothered . Not just that communication clearly is an issue at this resort no one knew correct times for certain...

"Room was not ready when we checked in. The pictures are not the same as the hotel. There were no beach cabanas. The pool water was very dirty and it smelled bad. "

"PROS Lovely hotel, perfectly located for all that ‘Little Italy’ has to offer. Walking distance to many great cafes, restaurants and a short drive to the zoo etc. Hotel was clean and well kept, staff were friendly. CONS Car parking is v.expensive compared to other hotels, and the car park itself is tight for space."

"The staff are excellent from the Bell hop to the Concierge! We were there for a special occasion and recieved a very nice bottle of wine to enjoy in our room. Also at the Bar while waiting for our room to be ready I ordered a couple scotch on the rocks and in conversation with the bartender mentioned it was our 47th anniversary with that he gave us a very nice pour! We enjoyed our stay and highly recomend the Monterey Plaza to all!"

"Everything went well and it was a very pleasant overall stay. Staff were nice and rooms were clean. Breakfast was very good. Only complaint was that the parking spots were way too tight and the parking garage clearance was 5’10 so our car rack bumped the initial entrance a bit. Would stay again, thank you!"
