"Check-in was difficult. We did not get the room I requested (one with a fireplace) and the room we were given had not been renovated and smelled funny. Went back to the desk and he said there were only 2 other rooms available and he didn't know which rooms had fireplaces. I checked out the 2 rooms and one did have a fireplace which we later discovered did not work. I mentioned to the staff that while I had previously give a glowing review, I might have to give a different on this time and he...

"Very clean. Room had a refrigerator and hair dryer. Wish the windows in the bathroom had curtains lol. Staff was super friendly!!"

"Loved our stay at Monterey Bay Lodge! The location is absolutely amazing, and the room was beautiful with a really nice romantic vibe. The only minor thing was the lack of AC, which felt a bit surprising at first, but honestly, with the local weather, it wasn't a big deal at all. Overall, a wonderful place for a getaway. Great atmosphere, fantastic location, and a super pleasant stay. Would definitely come back!"
