"Sugar marina AVIATOR hotel is very convenient to airport. Excellent for those arriving or departing at inconvenient times. Free shuttle to nearby beach. Cheap, tasty Thai food shops within a couple of blocks. Great place for overnight near the airport when in transit or fighting jet-lag; used by flight crews from several airlines. Quirky decor with strong WWII aviation theme. Other hotels in the Sugar Marina chain are located in the nearby resort areas of Phuket City and in Ao Nang in Krabi...

"Rooms were very clean. Staff were friendly and would help in any way possible. They would recommend tours/transfers and then book them. Food was great in the restaurant and the roof top pool is a good place to go at the end of the day with drinks and food available. The hotel is off the main road a couple of blocks which makes it very quiet but yet close enough to walk to the beach or shops. Or take a Tuk Tuk from the door, staff will arrange it. Excellent place to stay for your visit."

"We stayed total of 5 nights and 3 rooms. One of the rooms had bad reception of satellite tv. So we switched to new room on third night Breakfast was ok . Thoughtful they put signs for chicken vegetarian etc because we only eat halal food Servers during breakfast mostly seemed like they had bad days . But other hotel staff seemed friendly "

"What an amazing place for a family vacation. The pools are all excellent, and the kids loved the kids’ pool! There are so many great food options on the property, and if you’re wondering if the breakfast package is worth it - I promise you’ll regret it if you don’t get it! It’s probably the best breakfast buffet I’ve ever seen and I’ve stayed at nice hotels all over the world. The staff are very helpful, friendly and prompt; and left little surprises for the kids in our room. My only complaint...

"Front office staff are not so friendly. They also keep your passport or collect cash-only incidental deposit. We didn’t carry that much cash and had to leave one of our passports with them. When leaving, they took forever and rambled to find the passport, raising security concerns."

"Staff are great, location is good and close to town and the breakfast buffet is really complete. The cleanliness of the room was not perfect though. The windows and glasses were stained and you could see the track of the dirty cleaning. The shower room was not clean and you could see germ on the bottom of the walls. We had to ask to clean the room entirely in first night, and it got better but it seems they don’t have high standards in terms of cleaning. They were supportive and responsive...
