This hotel caters for coach/ bus tours rather than individual travellers. The original room we were put in was not well kept and the replacement room was better but still not great. "The grounds are beautiful and historic and when we drove up I had high expectations for the interior. I would not consider it anywhere near a 4 star hotel. The room was in a poor state, and paint was chipping from every surface, and the carpet was split down the center of the room creating a crater, in addition to being frayed and shredded. Request a room away from one of the access points as it could be noisy at night as people were locking or unlocking the access door. Bathroom could have been slightly better maintained. Hotel unfortunately uses single use plastics for their toiletries."
