Hong Kong sits on the southern coast of China and is one of Asia’s major economic centres. Hong Kong is a haven for foodies, with local must try dishes like dim sum, congee and noodles, along with cuisine from all over the world. It ranges from cheap street food to Michelin-starred restaurants like at The Langham, Hong Kong and the Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong. Lan Kwai Fong, Wan Chai and Knutsford Terrace are the three main drinking areas, though no trip to Hong Kong should end without having a cocktail while overlooking the harbour at The Peninsula Hong Kong.

There is an abundance of shopping in Hong Kong, ranging from cheap markets to luxury international brand name stores. The Ladies Market, Stanley Market and Weekend Market are great places to pick up bargain items, while Festival Walk, the Landmark and Pacific Place are where visitors will find luxury brand shops. Tsim Sha Tsui on Kowloon and Causeway Bay on Hong Kong Island are the most popular shopping destinations.
