Great hotel, on the beach with friendly staff, nice renovated clean rooms and great facilities. Only a short walk to the night markets and easy access to the beach and George town by bus.
Look out for the hotel ground. Best facilities in Batu Ferringhi. Love the outdoor pools. Good for family.
We stayed 11 nights over xmas and newyear which was a very busy time, we had 4 rooms and they were really nice overlooking the pool. Breakfast was terrible very limited choice and so busy and just chaos every morning with guests pushing. Food and beverage service outside really slow 1.1/2 hour for ...
We were so impressed by our stay - the staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. There were a number of little extra touches that were like cherries on top of what was already any impressive holiday. The facilities were a little way off new but well maintained and always superbly clean ...
Beautiful pool and gardens. Staff are so friendly and helpful. Can't fault this Resort
Nice hotel and convience....the place is nice calm we would like to recommend to my family n friend go to the hotel..
Lovely hotel well situated in the town and right next to the beach. Quite a lot of noise from the motor boats and jet skis which didn't make for a peaceful stay. The room was spacious and very comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Lovely sunsets.
Near the beach but no beach view. Still gotta walk a bit. Good value for money. Convenience stores, food stalls and bus stop within walking distance. Gets a bit quiet after dark.
Lovely room for a great price. Nicely furnished and very comfortable. We were upgraded to a deluxe room which meant we got strong WiFi in our room. Only thing is and this is the case for many hotels in Malaysia, we could hear the speakerphone prayers from the mosque at 5am and this woke us up a few ...
On the north coast of Penang Island is a popular beach resort area where the sand is white and the beach is lined with palm trees. Ferringhi Beach literally translates to Foreigner’s Rock and is one of the most visited areas of the island, with hotels and resorts lined along or just off of Jalan Batu Ferringhi. It is a tranquil area of this otherwise busy island.
The beaches are the main attraction here and one can easily spend a few days soaking up the sun and enjoying water sports such as windsurfing and parasailing.
If you like the outdoors and eco-tourism visit:Tropical Spice Garden, Tropical Fruit Farm, Penang Botanical Garden or Taman Rimba Teluk Bahang – a forest with waterfalls, streams and hiking trails. The Penang National Park is also close to Ferringhi Beach and is a great place to go for a hike. Camping is also available for those that want to spend more time exploring the world’s smallest national park.
Arguably the most popular attraction in Ferringhi Beach is the Penang Butterfly Farm, which is home to more than 4,000 butterflies. Those who prefer to stay indoors can visit the Yahong Art Gallery or the Toy Museum. The best place to take the kids is Wet Wild World, where there are inflatable rafts to jump from and run across, as well as a vertical rock climbing raft.
There is a vast selection of places to eat and drink in Ferringhi Beach as well as plenty of food options. Seafood restaurants are lined along the beach, while food stalls can be found along Jalan Batu Ferringhi. Long Beach Food Court also sits along Jalan Batu Ferringhi and is the best place to taste local cuisine on the cheap. There are also a few chic restaurants in the area, most of which are located inside the high-end resorts and hotels. To drink with the locals it is best to visit the Batu Ferringhi Night Market. For a more comfortable drinking experience, there are some trendy bars and lounges in a few of the upscale hotels.
Penang is known for its batiks, with the Penang Batik Factory being the best place to shop for this local handicraft. For the best bargain shopping in the area, visit the Batu Ferringhi Night Market that sits along Jalan Batu Ferringhi between Shangri-La’s Rasa Sayang Resort and the Hard Rock Hotel.
