"It’s older feeling. Our room smelled kind of like an old musty smell but it was decently clean and quite large. Bathroom felt newer. Only thing was the nice big couch faced the same direction as the tv so you couldn’t sit in the couch to watch tv so that living area didn’t get used as we always had to sit on the bed is watching tv."

"Everyone - everyone - of the staff were super friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable, great balcony. One complaint is the Muzak throughout the entire property. At breakfast, in the lobby, at the pool. So loud that I couldn't have a conversation at breakfast. Pool area music came blasting on at 6am for 15 minutes, then someone noticed. Then was on until 10pm. They did turn it down when I asked one night. But, I just don't get it, ruined the vibe of an otherwise very classy place."

"We loved our stay at the Hyatt La Jolla. About a 18 min drive from the main shops and restaurants area, great pool and amenities, restaurant and cafe on site were nice to have when travelling with small kids. The property is well maintained. Rooms are comfortable, could be a bit updated and cleaner but the beds and bedding were clean and comfortable.
