"We enjoyed our stay but there were a couple things I thought could be better. Our room had a strange musty smell to it. I tried to make coffee and realized that the coffee pot was cracked. Luckily, they have tea packets in the rooms so I had that instead. I wanted a Mountain View room but my balcony view was the back of the large kids slide instead with fencing. I also wish there were more places to eat around the grounds that had decent food. I didn’t want to have to leave the property but had...

"Dated hotel, very nice staff, parking is free but good luck getting a spot. The place was clean, room was roomy enough but in desperate need of updating. The bed was horrible -lumpy and it feels weary worn out. Conveniently located to highway and many local attractions. All and all a decent hotel for people in a budget."

"Although clean, the room was the smallest we’ve ever stayed in, to the point that the sink was in the room not the bathroom. Very nice rain shower, but water didn’t drain properly the first day - it was fixed after notifying the front desk. View out the window was a wall several feet away. Air conditioning unit was loud and rattled all night, and the bed was hard and uncomfortable. Parking was $50 per night, but that appeared to be par for the downtown area."

"Good stay with comfortable bed. Room was slight wear and tear. Ceiling had a stain that could have been cleaned up. Hotel right by freeway so you can hear the cars driving by in room."

"From the moment we arrived they were very welcoming. Property very clean and great food. We had our 13 year old son and he had a blast from swimming, meeting new friends, playing basketball and enjoying the access to the beach. It was simply amazing."

"Its San Diego… so not like uts going to be a great deal, but it was reasonably priced. The parking lot was being renovated so it wasn’t great access but still worked. Restaurants there (didn’t eat there though) and it obviously wasn’t the Waldorf but it worked. I did see a bunch of people using the Hot Tub so I’m gonna assume that it worked. All in all and adequate choice for the money."

"Package we purchased: Cabana with Beach Club was totally misrepresented. From Check-In throughout our stay, staff were very nice however untrained on the amenities included in our package. Wrong description of room ( not on the sand, no view, public walkway in front of the room. Ocean water toxic, can’t swim or touch water, sand as well. Serious consequences if used. Never told this was the case by the Hotel! Room only cleaned once in 4 days, when we called! Parking permit never issued. Manager...

"Great place! Beautiful location, awesome food, amenities, staff, view, etc. Will definitely stay again."

"I think the hotel has a great view and a lot of access to the whole ocean beach area. Everything is very commutable by foot and there’s a lot of good bars and food options just around the hotel. Truthfully it’s not that far from downtown maybe a 20 minute drive depending on traffic. And the staff was very helpful in finding food options and things to do."

"The room smelled a bit musty and the sheets had stains on them. The fitness area was pretty small with old equipment. The only cardio machines were an elliptical and a bike that were both pretty old and not of real good quality. The fitness center is used by people who have boats at the marina which made it pretty busy most of the time. The small size makes it feel crowded even with only 3 people in there. The pool and hot tub are small but adequate. Parking is limited with the spots being too...
