"The location of the property was ideal for downtown in the Gaslamp district. The staff were very helpful with getting us checked in early without any additional fees. Thank you again! "5 star for the views & location- next to seaworld- The rooms are gross! Dust still in bedside table- glass tables had hand prints still. As you walk into the hallway the carpets are dirty. You can tell they dont vacuum often, this was an indication how the rooms were. We stayed at room 310 it's gross. When you drive up dont expect a bellman to greet you. You must walk in to front desk. "Let me start by saying I know people seem to love this resort, my complaint is very specific to room 196. The lobby, restaurants, grounds, etc. were beautiful. Our room was supposed to be a 2 queen resort view but we ended up in a larger family room, the extra space was nice. However the room (196) was so outdated which I believe some areas have been updated. It gave motel vibes, old, gross carpet, dark, dated. The 2 beds are in a separate room which would be nice but there was not an air vent...

"Overall, the room was nice, and had a nice view from the balcony. However, I did leave somewhat disappointed. The first staff member to help carry our belongings up to the room seemed very helpful at first. I was asking him a question and he cut me off to ask if I was going to tip him in a rude tone. "Careful when you book a room. We booked a room with a private fire pit. The pictures provided do not represent what you get. The terraces with the private fire pits have zero views to the pool or resort, unlike what the pictures depict. We upgraded to a Victoria Oceanfront room at significant cost to have an enjoyable visit. The property is magnificent, but beware when booking. What you are shown may not be what you get."

"The staff was super nice and accommodating. The parking spots were a little tight with a mid-size suv but we always had a spot. Our room was clean and enough room for two of us, just wish it had a microwave. Great spot to watch the sunset and surfers and great location for food and drinks just around the corner. Almost didn’t need a vehicle with everything in walking distance."
