The entrance, the lobby, and the decor of the lobby gave you a classic upscale hotel feeling. The gym is out of this world. Itโs the best gym Iโve visited out of all the hotels Iโve stayed at. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.
Thatโs where all the positives end. Weโd stayed on the 8th floor, and as soon as the door opens, it started to smell pretty bad. Not a problem, probably just need to change their air filters. As soon as we got in our room, all the glamour downstairs, all the classy decor, and that upscale feeling goes away. The unpleasant smell amplifies in the room with its own unpleasant odor. Everything in the room felt like it was cutting corners. At first the, I thought the marble themed bathroom was nice. The. As I got closer, I noticed many deficiencies. The shower: Iโm 6โ0โ and I had to squat down or manually remove the shower head to shower. The glass door to the shower sways open, and the it only covers half of the tub, forcing you to try and stick to one side so you donโt get the floors slippery wet.
Then, as I come out of the shower bare feet, the carpet feels sticky gross, forcing me to put on my socks. The bed was comfortable, until my girlfriend spotted dried PERIOD blood on the sheets in the morning. I joked around with her at first but she was disgusted. Donโt shower in the room if you can go next door to the gym to do so. 1000x better.
This really isnโt the hotelโs problem, but we were surrounded by homeless encampments. beware.
