"It is wonderful to stay again at the beach cottages! The atmosphere is perfect for a Pacific Beach vacation! 🌊 The beach is right out a secured gate! The staff is friendly and efficient. I love the kitchen area with dish ware, utensils, appliances and microwave and refrigerator! The bed was so comfortable and it was lovely hearing the waves at night!"

"It’s a nice place to spend the night. Room is clean and amenities are great. The only thing I hope they improve on was to have more than 1 staff on the front desk? I tried calling the receptionist twice but no answer so I decided to go into the lobby and found out the receptionist was helping another customer and was away from the desk. She did great but if they have 2 people at the desk if one is occupied there’s another person to assist others. "

"Very nice 3 level hotel. No elevator. Parking is included for 1 vehicle. Room was clean and fairly well maintained. The Zoo and other attractions are an easy 20 minute drive. On Wednesday evening there is a Farmers Market on Newport, lots of good fun, food, and crafts. "

"Walk around the building and you're on Dog Beach, Ocean Beach. You can't get a closer location. Perfect if you're bringing your friends to stay the day at the beach. Dog Beach is an off leash Beach so they can run and have fun hanging with 400 of their closest friends. This hotel is old, built in 1960. They keep it up for the most part. Employees are exceptional, always there to help. It's rated at 2 stars, which must not take into consideration the location. We used to stay down at a cove....
