"Horrible. The establishment was closed (August 2021) when we arrived. The hotel charged my credit card only to find out when we arrived, the hotel was empty and abandoned. Never again!"

"We liked staying at Barceló in Mexico City for its location, the cleanness of the hotel and specially the friendly staff. We enjoyed walking to El Zocalo, Bellas Artes, the Alameda and Reforma, we never felt uncomfortable walking in these areas. We will comeback again. "

"I arrived late at night. The night watchman let me in. When he opened the door at the street I was alarmed to see what looked like a rather messy backyard, with a large tent-like structure and a concrete chiminea, as well as drums, odd sculptures and used mats lying about. He took me to a ground floor room and I was alarmed to see that it had no windows except for a large one that that had to remain curtained because it looked out to the indoor sitting area I had just walked through. "Our stay at Grand Fiesta Americana was nice!! The beds and pillows were comfy. The food was excellent and their staff were helpful and nice. The only downside there wasn't a pool to come to relax to after a day of exploration, but overall it was an excellent stay"

"All employees, especially at the front desk and restaurants, were very friendly and we all laughed at our attempts at Spanish. View of the ocean from the balcony was nice, pools are all comfortably warm. The beach is nice although we couldn't swim bc the waves are really rough. Walking to the harbor for restaurants, shopping, etc didn't take long. Overall loved this place so much we came back a second time. Not sure how this compares to resorts closer to the airport.
