"Perfectly for the price. Good location, free car parking and comfortable clean rooms. Above all though, service was excellent. One employee, sorry...didn't catch her name, but she was a blonde lady who did both frontdesk and cleaning of rooms, really went the extra mile for me, sorting an iron at short notice, when all of them had been lent out. She's a real asset. "

Felt very homely and welcomed and helped in with our luggage by Michael and we found him a great host .The room was immaculate and so many nice touches like fresh milk and filtered water and Yorkshire teabags which are my kinda cup of tea. "Nice and clean, everything you needed including a fan (it was very hot) shampoo and conditioner were really good. Most hotel shampoo’s make my hair dry. The ones provided didn’t do that. "

"The location of this hotel is absolutely amazing. The Crosby beach is only a 10 minute walk and the main street of Waterloo is just 5 minutes away with bars and restaurants a plenty. The Royal Hotel is a lovely place to stay with a restaurant on site. The staff are excellent and very helpful. The rooms are clean and have enough space. You have tea and coffee making facilities in the room and a fan to cool you down on hot days as there is no aircon. Rooms are set on 2 floors but there is no lift...

"What a great little gem this place is, from the moment I walked in I felt relaxed! Itaçh, the host was there to greet you (though there is no reception) and once I’d filled in a form in the lounge I was shown to my room and he even carried my bag to my room. The whole place was very well presented and I truly enjoyed my short stay. And a great plus was the train station was a mere 5 minute walk from/to the hotel."
