"Very well appointed hotel, beautiful lobby and rooftop bar and pool. Staff is excellent, very helpful. Our room was nice, but the window sills, blinds, and bedside table surfaces were very dusty. Even when they came and made the bed and refreshed towels, they never dusted any surfaces. Weird. Good location for downtown LA, still a major homeless problem. Pool was cold though and that sucked, because we wanted to swim :) But the 2yrs old, elderly lady and autistic brother I was traveling with couldn’t enjoy that temperature unfortunately. "Booked this hotel for a concert at the Forum. The front desk staff was very helpful, they gave us info for a shuttle back and forth to the show for $60 for 2 people round-trip. Lyft would have been more difficult bc of the traffic and rate increases after the show. The restaurant hours are terrible. Open 6am-10am closed from 10am-5pm, then open again for dinner. "This hotel is ripe for a major renovation. To start with, the hotel needs new windows. Current single windows are made of wood , the paint is peeling off, the noise from the street and an air conditioner unit installed on the roof penetrates into the room - ridiculous. Room size was OK, bathroom OK, Ed's were ok. There was only one chair in the room, hence the second guest has to sit on the bed or a small desk chair- subpar for a hotel of this rating.
