I always enjoy staying at the citizen, mainly due to the staff and how simple yet unique the hotel is. The location is great and you can have 24/7 parking for $24. The staff always ensure we have everything we need and even updated a few things in the rooms and having cold water accessible. The gym is equipped and cute; the bar and lounge area is great. They even have games available just to drink, snack and chill.

We just had the simple king bed room with a fridge and no microwave, and it was absolutely amazing. The bed was super comfortable, the room was nice and cozy, the tablet controls were really cool and useful, the tv has so many channels and connects to your device for screen casting, and the bathroom was very nice and clean. The biggest downside was the area it’s in, but the hotel itself is very safe and secure as it requires a keycard to open the door at night and to operate the elevators at all times. This was an amazing stay and I would definitely recommend it to others.

Absolutely loved this hotel! Rooms are exactly as pictured and very clean. Compact but cozy with tons of storage space. Check-in is self service but staff is close by to help. Bar open until 2 serves great food and drinks! Parking is not offered on property so you do have to pay additional fees wherever you choose to park but wasn’t a big turn off for us. The doors also require a key card to get in after 6pm which is a nice safety perk for both staff and guests. Will definitely rebook in the future!

Small but super comfortable and spotless rooms! The only thing to note - no parking at hotel and was difficult to pull over for Ubers - not a real problem for me at all but useful to know if you are driving!

This hotel was perfect for our needs. We were in town for a concert. It’s a small room but we weren’t spending the day in the room. Literally just slept and showered. The bed and pillows were very comfortable which I appreciate. Rain shower was also great! The chicken dumplings weren’t good but it was convenient thst the kitchen is open 24hrs. Staff were friendly!

The room is perfect for a solo traveler or couple and buffet breakfast (featuring a live barista) is a steal at $25 in downtown LA. Just keep your wits about you when walking the neighborhood.
