"The hotel is located on the mountain and the view of lake Lugano is spectacular. As it turns out, the rest of the experience was less so. We arrived around 10pm and by then, the kitchen was closed. The staff reluctantly served us drinks while at the same time wiping tables and closing down - despite the fact that the bar was supposed to stay open for another 30 minutes. Special thanks to Newen that gives us a room so our daughter can stay with us for one day during our stay. Hotel room view was very good and indications on how to visit surrounded areas were outstanding. "this was a stunning hotel. It was exceptionally clean. It made me feel like I was leading lifestyles of the rich and famous. The spa was wonderful. We had a massage and I had a facial that was wonderful. We ate at Mistral their restaurant and this was an experience, but it is very expensive. They had a piano player in the lobby most evenings that was very, very nice. There are other restaurant was also very good and they have a very pretty pool. The views from our room were just superb.
