"In a nice location close to the racecourse, river and shops all within a few minutes walk. Even though on a busy road you could hardly hear the traffic noise even though we were in the front of the hotel. "

"We stay at the hotel once a year as a treat. It’s such a unique and friendly hotel with fantastic staff. It’s a very old hotel but they keep it updated but somethings like not having walk in showers might put some off as the shower is a curtain around the bath but that just adds to the charm for us. Chester is a lovely place to visit and the hotel is in a great location. "

"Friendly staff, spa is ok but free which is the main thing. Parking was £12 a night which is annoying. But only if you book through a third party. Booking direct parking is free."

"Really enjoyed our stay at The Boathouse. Lovely location, handy for visiting the centre of Chester without the hustle and bustle of actually being in the centre. Room was nice and bed was comfortable. Good breakfast choices. We would stay here again."

Great location 5 minutes from motorway and only a few minutes from city centre and the zoo which is why we visited"
