"The line to check in was incredibly long. My kids and I waited about 35 minutes just to get checked in. After finally receiving our room and going upstairs, we discovered that the hot water was not working, the toilet would not flush, and the phone in the room was also not working. "We spent 2 nights at Dunes hotel in L.A. It was very close to BLS International office were we had an appointment to get our schengen visa to Europe. We booked the standard room which it was nice with wood floors, white bedding, white clean towels etc. Dunes inn is not fancy, actually we got a real key instead of a card key but it is a descent, simple and clean place to sleep in. "10 day stay total. At the beginning the room in the 4th floor was not great. It was old, noisy and very small for 2 people. The front desk manager understood my concern and after I told him we were considering to stay longer he immediately agreed to upgrade us to the 10th floor. I also mentioned my gold status with Expedia. The new room was much better. Same layout but more spacious and renovated. Great experience over all."
