"De Vere Tortworth Court is a beautiful and unique mansion, completely surrounded by nature, built over 170 years ago. We came to visit the Cotswolds, and this accommodation worked out quite well (it is a 40 mins-1h drive from the main villages).
Things I loved:
All the shared areas are well kept and organized, and the staff were friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was good as well as the bistro and the cocktail bar in the library room.

"This was the very best hotel and staff. The room was lovely. Staff were friendly, and they couldn't do enough for you. They would do anything in their power to make your stay a pleasurable experience.
I would strongly recommend the stay, with the Marina literally two minutes away, and the town center a 10 minute walk away.
My only problem was the food. It's not the best, and don't have the breakfast you'll be wasting your money, it has very poor quality ingredients. You'd be better off eating...

1. Room was not properly cleaned. Dog's fur on carpet. My daughter was sneezing uncomfortably due to allergic reaction. 2. There was no shower cream. Thankfully, we brought something to use.
3.Shower was leaking."

"Excellent location for Clifton high street, right next to the suspension bridge with stunning views. Ask for a room with the reiver view. Dog-friendly and they provide a dog bed, a water bowl and a doggy bag with little treats, a ball and some poo bags for your furry friend. Our dog enjoyed the stay very much!"

"Clean room, but the desk lamp did not work properly as the bulb constantly flickered. Also, the wall light near the window did not work at all. We felt that these things should be checked by the cleaning staff on a daily basis as it wouldn’t take long to switch on a lamp and wall lights while dusting them. We reported the broken lights to the receptionist when we checked out the next day."
