"Clean room. Apart from the conditioner not being topped-up in the bathroom, everything was in place. Staff were polite and friendly at reception and at breakfast. The breakfast meal was well laid out. Plentiful and good variety. Location was close to station and very convenient for the city centre. I would recommend."

"Great location right in the city centre with discount on parking that is less than 5 mins walk from the hotel. Reception staff were super friendly and the hotel was spotlessly clean. We arrived late and didn't have breakfast in the morning but the bar area looked bright and welcoming. Quiet at night as well. Would definitely stay again."

"The room was very clean. Comfortable beds, good shower. The view wasn’t great (concrete wall!) but didn’t matter to us. Excellent value for money. Fantastic location in the centre of town and so quiet, I was surprised I couldn’t hear any noise from the roads. Staff were very friendly and helpful, though a bit slow at check in, beware longer queues at 3pm. Quick check out available."

"The hotel itself is nice and our twin room was of a good standard, however, the bathroom smelt of blocked drains continuously (the sink plug had been left in to stop the smell). The shower was an odd setup as the tray was around 20cm above the floor level which required a large step to get in the shower. The grab handle was out of reach getting in the shower and there was no grab handle to get out of the shower. There was a small printed sign in the shower advising the user to be careful of wet slippery surfaces and that a non-slip mat could be obtained from the hotel. This sign would have been better placed outside the shower where it could be read easily rather than only readable when you're already in the shower!"

"Cosy, clean and quiet. Spent a lovely night at Brooks' with a small fountain gently bubbling outside my window, in a well-kept and extremely comfortable room. The bathroom was clean and tidy too. Super-central. I didn't have breakfast but it looked great when I walked through as I left. All the pictures give a good indication of the guesthouse, and the staff were really chilled and helpful. Great friendly service, and they wanted to make sure that everything was as it should be. Heading back again for work this coming week, and looking forward to it."
