"As a frequent traveller, I am compelled to provide an honest account of my recent stay. Unfortunately, the room condition was far below acceptable standards. The shower head was moldy and covered with grime, the hand basin had extremely low water pressure, and the toilet was unable to properly flush any of my excrete. These are basic hygiene and functionality issues that should never be present in a hotel of this standing.
What is particularly disappointing is that a reassurance of a defect-free room was personally given by the Director of Operations, yet this was not delivered. While I am only a Blue Honors member, this should never be a reason to overlook fundamental guest expectations. I am a paying guest who has spent a significant number of nights at Hilton Kuala Lumpur, even without booking through the Honors app.
Additionally, my first day was severely impacted, as I had to spend nearly an hour resolving these issues after an exhausting 13-hour long-haul flight.
Nevertheless, I would like to sincerely commend your hidden heroes at the call center—Clift, Atikah, Ain, and Farahiya—for their exceptional care, professionalism, and patience in handling my concerns. Their efforts in calming a frustrating situation were truly appreciated. Kudos also to Hinuddin from the Housekeeping team on Level 25 for his attentiveness.
While the service recovery efforts were notable, the initial experience should not have fallen short of basic standards."
