"Getting in and out of the rooms using the Goki app was pretty easy, staff at reception were really nice and helpful. The only complaint I have is the kitchen smelled so bad it permeated throughout the entire area outside it. I stayed on the 4th floor so I can’t speak for the other floors, but there were food items still in the fridges left unmoved for days/weeks at a time (I stayed for 2 weeks) and it was clear it probably hasnt been thoroughly cleaned/checked in a while. "The best thing is the rooftop communal area. The bunks were pretty good, had curtains. Kitchen is well organised. Bunkroom is messy with bags all over the floor i stead of in lockers or on the bunks. Overall the best of the 4 hostels I have stayed at so far in Melbourne. "

"Liked friendly and welcoming staff, cleanliness, free coffee tea and bread. Comfortable bed and communal areas. Only think to be improved is that I wasnt in receipt of the code to get in when I arrived. I didnt have a sim card so couldnt phone. I went away and emailed Frank to get it and then went back. Ideally an automatic email and text giving these details, before check out time would have been good. Overall this is my favourite accommodation place in Melbourne. "

"Lower bathroom showerhead broken, entire unit stunk of Indian food coming from next door, neighbors making noise every night until early hours, TV not working. we requested some clean towels which did not arrive. lots of traffic noise. Premises not very clean. For what we paid no value at all."

"Cute room and bar downstairs. You’re supposed to get 10% off food and drinks at the bar, but I kept forgetting to ask, and the bartenders (who double as reception) didn’t discount anything. The room we stayed in didn’t have a bathroom en suite, it was across the hall. Toiletries provided. Not the quietest place, but ok. The bed was comfy. Across the street from the Queen Victoria markets, which I enjoyed shopping and eating at."

"1 On arrival sticky stuff over kitchen floor. 2 Kitchen had one pan and one pot to cook with. Back splash walls cupboards toaster all marked and grubby 3/ TV and Air-con remotes not working. 4 /Password we were given for free Wi-Fi did not work. 5/ Dangerous upturned corners on rugs and large stains on carpet. 6 Second bedroom you had to climb over single bed to get to wardrobe.7/On pulling back covers on one of the single beds black hair were on bottom sheet. Looked as though it had been slept...
