Hotels near Cancun Convention Center

"The place is maintained clean and the staff is great. The property needs major updates. Our room was nice but the shower door was falling and the main door to the bathroom wouldn’t lock. I paid for what according to Expedia was the best room in the property, so not was very disappointing to come to this. Another downfall is the hotel people trying to sell you activities and or timeshare, is almost like a flea market once you come to the lobby, very anointing to be approached every time for the same people. "

"We stayed in one of the ocean view junior suites. We loved the view from the balcony, and the water pressure in the shower was great, but the room was a bit dated, and the beds were horribly uncomfortable. We did enjoy going to the gym everyday, as well as hanging out by the pool and swimming in the beautiful water. We tried the gourmet restaurant Krystal and the Japanese restaurant Sakura; both were just okay.. We ended up at the buffet for most of our meals, and loved the little coffee place by the lobby. This resort is very clean, the staff was super friendly, and they have 3 pools - something for everyone. Personally, I don't care for the party scene but we met so many nice people and had a lot of fun wherever we went. Riu Palace runs like a well oiled machine, something I appreciate. Overall, we loved our weeklong stay here and would come back in a heartbeat!"

"This resort is on a beautiful beach, with great rooms and was very clean. Most of the staff was extremely helpful and nice. The serving staff at restaurants was a mixed bag, some quite rude and not interested in giving good service at all, others were wonderful. Restaurants were quite expensive for what was served and drinks just a little too high priced. Beautiful grounds and the beach was amazing with many beach chairs etc the buffet breakfast ($50 US per person) had a great variety of fresh food to choose from. Would return for sure."

"The staff was amazing!!! The entertainment staff including Haniah, Bernardo, Omar and Adrian were amazing! There were long lines for dinner, and the amenities could have stayed open later and opened earlier. "
