"The Barcelo resort is beautiful and well maintained. The pools are in good condition and offer various water features such as waterfalls and a slide for kids. The rooms, grounds and entertainment are very good. Clean and everything in working order. The only area that needs improvement I would say is the food. I would rate most of the dishes as average which falls somewhat short since the property, staff and rooms are well above average. "

"This place is amazing, it was worth more than what we paid. The beds are new, hot water, clean nice bathroom and the property is just cool. Has its own private beach and most rooms have a view of the ocean. I would stay here again in a minute. The only potential negative is the place has a lot of stairs. If you are unable to walk stairs this place isn’t for you. If you can walk stairs this place is amazing and the staff super nice."

"I stayed at this hotel several times before. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Located in the heart of the romantic zone right on the beach! with restaurants, shops, entertainment venues and more… all within walking distance. Looking forward to going back in the fall."

"Overall, we had a good experience at the hotel. The quality of the food and restaurants was truly excellent, and we were very satisfied with that aspect. However, the issue we faced was that the hotel has a newer 5-star building and an older 4-star section. We booked our stay under the impression that it was a 5-star hotel, but the room we were given was in the older section, and we were not informed about this difference. We only realized this when our friends arrived one day later and were assigned rooms in the newer building with much better amenities, even though we had all paid the same price. This was quite disappointing for us."

"Room was not clean. Sheets were stained. Toilet was not working properly. Waited for maintenance but never showed up. Paid extra for a safe that was not working. Gave 2 starts for location, location is great. One staff member was rude at the beach entrance, when we were coming back from the beach the staff run to us and held my partner’s arm to check for the hotels bracelet instead of asking politely for us to show it."

The staff was incredibly kind, friendly, and always ready to help, which made our experience even more special. The food at the restaurants was delicious, with great variety and quality. We truly enjoyed every meal. We spent a few days that were both fun and very relaxing—exactly what we needed. A big thank you to the entire team for their hard work and excellent service.
