"This place is amazing, it was worth more than what we paid. The beds are new, hot water, clean nice bathroom and the property is just cool. Has its own private beach and most rooms have a view of the ocean. I would stay here again in a minute. The only potential negative is the place has a lot of stairs. If you are unable to walk stairs this place isn’t for you. If you can walk stairs this place is amazing and the staff super nice."

"The view from our hotel was priceless and access to the beach was great. We loved the staff. They were extremely helpful and gave great recommendations. The cleanliness of the rooms and surrounding areas was impeccable. Great location. Overall we loved our stay at Emperador. Unfortunately, the air conditioner did not keep the room cool. My husband looked and could definitely see the filters needed to be changed. Also, when booking the room be sure to check the fine print. The shuttle from the airport is not included and you must make arrangements ahead of time. But overall, we would stay there again, mostly because of the great staff, clean hotel and access to the beach."

"Rude terrible staff, have to listen to a sales pitch before you can even check-in, and outright predatory lying by staff as they try and blatently double bill you. The property has also been undergoing construction for at least 5 years with constant noise and drilling while the property's attitude seems to be "deal with it.""

"Room was not clean. Sheets were stained. Toilet was not working properly. Waited for maintenance but never showed up. Paid extra for a safe that was not working. Gave 2 starts for location, location is great. One staff member was rude at the beach entrance, when we were coming back from the beach the staff run to us and held my partner’s arm to check for the hotels bracelet instead of asking politely for us to show it."

"Room was very clean. Fresh towels daily. No patio lock. Security staff super helpful and attentive. We were always able to get lounge chairs and umbrella at beach. Beach gets very busy by end of the day. Pool is small, was often very busy with children in floats and splashing not much room for others. "
