"Out of this world experience- attention to detail was amazing / the food, the service and the design and architecture were incredible! My son and I did the spa and we did the rainforest sauna along with an hour massage. It was an incredible experience!"

"A slice a paradise, with a romantic and boho chic atheistic. The food is delicious with fresh ingredients. It is a boutique hotel which we loved. We had 2 bungalows right on the beach so you can step out and enjoy the sound of the waves and had a choice of sun beds. The beach is rocky so we just used the pool. We had a car so could explore the area but if you want to unwind you could easily just relax there."

"This is an ok option if you are not expecting a luxury style resort. The rooms are really outdated even if selecting an upgraded room (we had a swim out). The staff were ok, no above and beyond service except 2 of the bartenders Fernando and another guy at the back bar. There isn’t much to do, only the buffet restaurant is open daily, others are every other day and at 6pm. The swim up bar was fun, the beach you cannot access there were mountains of seaweed in front of the 10 lounge chairs that...

"The food options, beverage stations and pools were really excellent and so were the room and service staff supplying and cleaning them. The four year old wanted to go to the kids club once in the two weeks we stayed there but the 11 year old wasn’t excited about it. Not sure whether a little more advertisement and marketing of the activities would help. Otherwise we were quite happy with our experience."

"We stayed for 9 nights and there was not a day without some kind of mistake or misunderstanding. The staff is very very polite and friendly, but they lack professionalism and training. Some servers in the restaurants don’t speak very good English, so that can be an area of improvement. The overall impression is that the whole operation is out of tune. Strong management and review of all aspects of operations is recommended. Alila is not on par with the rest of the Mayakoba hotels."

"Qué pena porque siempre que voy a Playa del Carmen me hospedo ahí pero no fue igual a la última vez que me hospedé ! Algo cambió!
