Ocean Riviera Paradise All Inclusive

"Nice place, will get the job done. I'm a beach person, so the lack thereof was a huge turnoff; I would not be inclined to go back because of that. I did not care for the animals, but the kids loved them lol. Lovely gym, I went every morning. Like most resorts, the buffet is always good. My initial room had a dented and slanted bed. Very weird bed, very uncomfortable, gave me the ick. The staff was great at getting me a new room quickly, though, which is why I gave them 5 stars; very nice staff. Restaurant reservations are The Hunger Games, and there is an upcharge at every location for many, many things. This is my 3rd all-inclusive in Mexico now though, and they all have upcharges like this, so okay. Again, we went to the staff for help with booking for restaurants, as the app was always full, so more praise for them. The resort is long, rather than wide, if that makes sense. They have trains that take you from one end to the other; you can stop where you need. They do come in handy and for the most part, we were able to get seats. Sometimes, we would just walk, it's quite the walk lol, but we got used to it. I need a beach. I also need a nicer room, sink was clogged, the toilet was leaking, some food served spoiled, and I do not care for so many upcharges. But this is a 4-star, not a 5, from what I'm understanding, and that is probably the difference I'm feeling. My kid had fun, it was her birthday, but she said she preferred the all-inclusive in Jamaica last year."

"The hotel is beautiful and huge, so definitely be prepared to do a lot of walking! The buffet food was okay, but if I could do it again, I would skip the buffets and make reservations at the à la carte restaurants because they were delicious. The entertainment was also really good every night. My only real complaint was the beach, but that’s understandable given the season. Also, some of the employees seemed to get annoyed when you asked for things not all of them, just a few. Other than that, we had a great experience! My kids had an absolute blast, and that’s what mattered most to me."

"Ficamos no hotel do dia 21/8 ao 25/8. Esse hotel nos impressionou positivamente!! É impressionante a areia em frente as cabanas, a vibe das redes, o conforto da cabana. Estávamos em 4 pessoas e reservei o quarto com 3 camas, a terceira cama fica no mezanino, e meu filho adorou. O restaurante tem um café da manhã delicioso, e o jantar que já comprei na reserva é muito bem elaborado. Passamos muito bem estes dias. O que não ajudou foi a praia que estava com sargaço, mas o próprio staff do hotel limpava diariamente a areia. O hotel tem uma vibe romântica, calma e rústica. E apesar de ser na areia, e muito arborizado, não vimos aranhas, nem moscas, nem insetos no geral. Por ser cabana inicialmente fiquei com medo de encontrar paranhos, mas a limpeza é ótima. É próximo tanto de Cancún quanto de tulum, o centrinho de playa está super próximo, e como estávamos com carro alugado nossa logística foi ótima!"

"We spent a week here and it exceeded expectations. Check-in and check-out were smooth and hassle-free, and the staff were incredibly friendly throughout our stay. Our room was spotless every day thanks to great daily housekeeping. Food: A real highlight of the resort. Food was available 24 hours, and both the breakfast and lunch buffets were fabulous. Evening à la carte dining was even better — the restaurant selection is impressively diverse, spanning Italian, Brazilian, Mexican, and more. Just keep in mind dinner reservations need to be booked a few hours to a day ahead, and there’s a mildly formal dress code in the evenings, so plan accordingly. Activities & Pools: Excellent activities for kids, and the pools were phenomenal — a definite highlight for our family. Beach: Beautiful, though sargassum caused some odor in the afternoons. Mornings were much better for beach time. Getting Around: Intra-resort transportation was great, making it easy to get everywhere on the property. A few suggestions: The diet beverage selection through out the resort was limited to just Diet Coke — broadening this would be appreciated. Also, desserts leaned mostly continental, with Mexican specialties like churros offered only once a week; more regular options like tres leches would be a nice touch given the resort’s location. Overall: A phenomenal stay — we’d absolutely return in the future. Highly recommend for families."
