"Stayed here with a friend in preparation for Yorkshire 3 peaks challenge. Check in very easy. Warm welcome. Very hospitable staff. We had to leave the hotel early next morning before kitchen opened but staff left us breakfast (cereals, yogurt etc) out for us which was really appreciated. Also made us sandwiches to take with us. Pub/bar and food was really good. Cosy. "

"Stayed at this hotel as en route to Scotland and dog friendly. Staff were friendly and helpful. The added bonus was access to pool and spa facilities which you don’t often get when travelling with a pet. Good food also."

"The Royal presents itself impeccably. It has quality everywhere you look. Our room was immaculate and food quality didn’t let us down. However, our experience at breakfast was a little disappointing as everything was being cleared away before we had finished eating!! And our charges to the room were taken from my credit card without any prior consultation. Still waiting for an email of my bill which was promised? All just seemed a bit unprofessional?"

"Huge car park. Room was very nice. I needed a walk in shower and one phone call a little while before we were due to go sorted out a room with accessible shower. Set in a pretty village. Breakfast was really good. Evening meal very good too. Extremely pleasant staff. We booked The Waddington arms as we were going to a family wedding being held close by at the Out Barn. We would recommend this hotel to anyone who is in the clitheroe/Waddington area. A good base to explore some lovely...
