Lovely clean rooms, great shower! Very doggie friendly. Roaring fires and beautiful food. 10oz steak and peppercorn sauce cooked to perfection. The Coffee and tiramisu sundae exceptional. We will be back!

The room was generally clean however they missed coming one day. The continental breakfast dissapointing, limited choice with same old three bananas presented for three days, no croissants. Hot breakfast good. Bar food good.

Firstly, the location was great. The Stork is near the M6 and minutes away from downtown Lancaster, yet you feel like you are in the country. We enjoyed a last minute stay at the Stork and feel as though we had found a hidden gem. If the rooms aren't brand new, they certainly appear so. We also had a gastropub style meal at night and a complimentary full English bteakfast in the morning. Both meals were very good. We were most impressed by the staff; all of whom were very friendly, professional and made everyone feel welcome. Lastly, this stay was extremely well-priced and we would hooe to come back when next in the area.

Excellent for visitors to Lancaster Uni

Lovely, clean room and friendly welcome. Really helpful service including an offer to pre-order breakfast due to our early start (which was delicious). The only criticism is that we couldn’t get through on the phone to book a table for dinner on arrival but otherwise, our stay was excellent.

Superb.

Superb stay. Gorgeous old pub. Rooms were fabulous. We had a family room which was enormous with a lovely comfy bed for us and a sofa bed for the children. Lovely en-suite with the best shower I’ve ever used in a hotel. Dinner and breakfast were great. Breakfast had several options and was cooked to order. Highly recommend.

What a find! A little off our route, and well worth it. Of the five hotels we booked in to on our travels, the Stork was head and shoulders above the others. Could find no fault with staff or facilities. And very dog friendly too!

Great Stay at The Stork

It’s rare that a hotel is significantly better than the online photos- but I was presently surprised staying at The Stork. Hotel rooms including bathrooms were modern and well equipped. Colleagues were friendly. Good value and quality food and drink.
