Had a lovely 2 night stay. Ideal location - out of the way of crowds but close enough to get to places. Room was clean and comfortable. Food was also really good. Everyone was so friendly and helpful - will defo stay again.
The property was very nice with good amenities. The pool and jacuzzi was an excellent facility. However the seam room was only working once during our stay which was a shame. Staff were superb and very helpful however the menu lacked lactose free knowledge and had it not been for the young lady going above and beyond to ask the chef what could be made we would have eaten elsewhere.
Building really nice, pool should of been heated but wasn't at time of stay, sauna and steam room not working, but only used pool. Only gripe really was the road noise if you get a front facing room.menu was a bit restricted, need a good burger on it. Staff were great ,knowledgable about area. Good access via bus outside the hotel to lakes . Would go again .
From the moment we arrived the lady on reception, I think she may have been the on-duty for our stay, was so helpful and aware it was both our pre-wedding and reception venue. There was nothing too much trouble for the staff, from breakfast in our room to preparing the reception room and buffet for our arrival after the ceremony. There were additional requirements throughout the day which again they catered for without any problems.
I would highly recommend this hotel and their staff and thank them for their help and professionalism both on our stay and special day.
Clean comfortable and spacious room, impeccable service from staff, exceptional food at very reasonable price. Pool recently refurbished to a high standard and likewise changing areas sauna and steam room. Really enjoyed our stay and will definitely go back.

Clean convenient for visiting the lakes lovely breakfast good parking fair size room Undergoing renovation when we visited new decoration tastefully done 👍
My sister and I enjoyed our one night stay. We needed a little recuperation and this did the trick. The staff work very hard.
We had dinner and it was delicious 😋.
We stayed in this hotel for just one night on our way back from the Highlands of Scotland. I wish we had booked for longer.
A beautiful building, parking on site, a large warm room and very cheerful staff.
The breakfast was brilliant with table service for a cooked breakfast, which was presented with care and cooked to perfection.
We are going to return at a later date for a longer stay and to use the facilities!
Stayed several times best hotel in Kendal rooms spotless staff polite/ helpful and breakfast very tasty just slightly disappointed they are refurbing their pool area at present but won't hesitate to return.
Lots of building work going on but no noise while we were there. Excellent meals and breakfast and great friendly staff. Will return.

I was disappointed and surprised this hotel has a 4 star rating as stayed in nicer 3 star hotels.
Food was poor, disappointed with breakfast and service.
The room was very warm and bed very uncomfortable. Bathroom small and only bathroom accessories were two bars of soap. Also the floor was not clean.
I did not use the pool or spa so no comment.
The room was clean and tidy, the water was a little too hot in the sink on the first night but seemed to be cooler the next night. The food was a standout for us and all of the staff were lovely. We look forward to visiting again when all of the renovations have been completed
We booked late & stayed 3 nights. We had the last room it was small but very adequate with kettle & various drinks & biscuits replenished each day. Bathroom product very basic just a bar of special soap. The staff were all lovely & very helpful. The breakfasts were amazing. All freshly cooked I have never had so much smoked salmon with my scrambled eggs. It's an old hotel but i gather have a new wing. Sadly we didn't make use of the indoor pool but hopefully will when we return.
