"Pros: layout and fixtures were nice. Francisco, melody, and suny top notch. Cons:NO HOT WATER!! first room had broken patio lock and both rooms smelled terrible like farts. Room two had trash and dust behind the wood vertical partition, the sofa was stained the ottoman had a rip, no balcony furniture, the oven door was dirty. The lift top coffee table came apart, It was impossible to get face towels or hand towels, when I looked at the housekeeping cart there was none to be found only large bath towels. Housekeeping is the biggest problem at this hotel. They do not clean only empty trashcans, make the bed and replace large bath towels and pool towel when requested. Housekeeping needs an overhaul. I had items thrown away clearly marked in Spanish no basura. Called and requested a face towel it never came. Upon checking out I noticed the code to my room was written in blue ink pen right under my room number 6549# where anyone could use to gain access to my room at anytime. Bring a solo woman traveler this was particularly unnerving. I took a picture of it. The kitchenette had no silverware or water glasses and had only one small 8” skillet."

"The hotel is beautiful! The staff is very friendly and welcoming! I had better expectations with the food. The beach is a paradise! The water slides and water parks were amazing for my two daughters under 5. We will be definitely coming back!"

"Spent a week at the Serenade All-Suites in Punta Cana (adults only) April 21-28. We did not purchase the Elite package & I feel it was not needed. We did get the Elite check-in & a butler which was a perk of Expedia (they said). Glady, Chayrel & Jorge were great! Being on the adult side, we had access to the family side, except the à la carte restaurants. We also had access to the rooftop pool/bar & we had a free hydrotherapy session that we did book for the day before coming home via the lady outside the family side buffet but when we got there, they said we were not booked! The resort was beautiful. Most of the staff was very nice & friendly. Some staff not so much but it was probably the language barrier since we don’t speak Spanish. Had trouble getting extra washcloths & restocking of beer in the minibar - I did have to call guest services for more washcloths & our butler for more beer! The pools are nice size. The beach is wide & the water is shallow for quite a while so you can walk out quite far. There are no big waves. It got a little wavy sometimes with the wind but it was a warm wind. The weather was beautiful all week. There is some seaweed but the workers do rake it up each day - it’s not bad though. We tried all the Adult side restaurants & they were all good. The entertainment was lacking but the resort’s entertainment staff was very fun! We would return to this resort!"

"Room had a strange smell, when we got there. It took some time with AC blowing for smell to disappear. Wi-Fi not great at all kept going in and out. "

"My friend and I stayed for three days, and unfortunately it was a very bad experience. We received the room two hours late because it hadn’t been cleaned yet. We never had direct communication with the host and were never given an access code to enter the room. If it hadn’t been for the building’s doorman, we would have been left outside. On top of that, the internet was very poor and barely worked. The shower had almost no water pressure, and to make matters worse, the power went out one night and we had to find someone to help us reconnect it. Overall, it was a very disappointing stay. "

"Not sure were to start, dirty livingroom furniture, bird droppings on kitchen chairs, broken jacuzzi, pool is being cleaned with house broom...so not that clean. Moldy daybed outside, tiles outside by the patio door all moldy, 3rd bedroom door was kept locked so no access, we didn't need the 3rd bedroom but still makes u wonder why they kept it locked up. No plumbing in the kitchen sink...and we were never told about this! Found out when we woke up one morning with water on the kitchen floor. The sink was hooked up with a flex pipe going into a big bucket underneath the sink and the pipe had fallen out of the bucket. Fly squat was stored with the kitchen utensils, coffee maker with no coffee pot, no can opener and the cherry on top of the sunday...found a huge cockroach under the kitchen sink while trying to reinstall the pipe in the bucket. Host was sympathetic to us with the issues but we never heard back from the owner...last message was that they were going to leave it in Expedia's hands when we asked for a partial refund as in order to salvage part of our vacation we were forced to find another location that was sanitary."
