This is our third time staying at an Excellence resort. Resort is beautiful. We got the roof top room with the plunge pool and it was one of the best rooms we have stayed in so far. Roof top does not have a lot of privacy tho. You can see across to all the other roof tops. It would be nice if there was a way to have some privacy on the roof top. Most the staff was great. We found our favorite bar tender and kept returning to him all week. He was one of the only ones who made the drinks we liked to perfection. Erubey at Cielo beach bar is top notch. You can tell he enjoyed his job. He always did tricks with the bottles and was always pleased to see us. One downfall was that we had to wait for dinner reservations. Each night we had to wait at least 30 minutes to be seated. This was the first time at an Excellence resort we had this happen. We wish there was more things to do at night. Everything shuts down about 10:30. The guy who runs the catamaran rental was a jerk. He tried blaming us for a rip in the sail that clearly has been there for some time due to the coloring around the rip and the fact he pointed it out the second we got back. He didn’t take time to look just automatically pointed it out. After staying at other well established Excellence resorts we could tell the difference. Lots of learning still happening and kinks that need to be worked out. Overall we had a great time.

This trip exceeded any expectations I had. The resort it’s self is beautiful. It was the perfect resort for a relaxing trip. The staff was amazing, especially Juan Carlos at Agave and Patricio at Spice, they both were so fun and made great food/drink suggestions. One thing that was huge for me as someone with a food allergy, is how accommodating they are for allergies and restrictions. All the serving staff was knowledgeable on different allergies and the foods on the menu. They would work with the chef to provide a meal that was delicious and safe for me to eat. I definitely will be coming back here!

Excellent property, clean, new and comfortable. This is a new hotel and they are still figuring few things out. Overall staff was very friendly but service felt a bit restrictive. For example 5 star hotels typically go above snd beyond policy to accomodate guest requests, but we did not feel that way here. But they were definitely open to feedback which we provided to general manager Rafael who made time to meet us to learn about opportunities to be better. For example we artived on an early flight and ehen trying to check in, were promptly reminded that check in time was 3pm. And after saying No, an hour later gave us an hospitality room. We appreciated it but would have been a totally different experience if they did not say No upfront. If you are a large party 6 or more, it was hard to get a big table in some restaurants. Spa rules were odd, in order to use the amenities you must book a minimum of 75 minute treatment (around 280 usd)and with that you only could use either sauna or steam room but not both. I have never experienced this anywhere in the world before. I am rating this place excellent because i have confidence in management that they will take all the feedback they get and make the necessary changes as this place could be amazing! Restaurants were good, alcohol was decent, no plastic or any kind of straws though and vibe is slow with elevator music playing mostly on the grounds.

Just got back from the most incredible stay at a new all-inclusive resort in Cancun! From the moment we arrived, everything was top-notch—beautiful beachfront views, amazing food and drinks, super friendly staff, and endless ways to relax or have fun. Total paradise. Can’t wait to go back!

Excellence Coral is a shiny new property and is stunningly beautiful! The developers and designers considered every detail of the buildings, large rooms and surrounding grounds. The swim ups are everything! Treat yourself to one. You have to spend time on the roof top lounge. The views are spectacular! The pools also have lots of chaise loungers and cabanas that are always available and at no charge! The staff (Antonio, Carla, Kenneth), are very friendly and offer great service. With the exception of the Sports Bar, the food at the restaurants and offerings at the Coffee House don’t quite compare to Excellence Playa Mujeres, but I have no real complaints about it. Lastly, there are lots of cameras and great lighting in the breezeways, so you feel safe. Stop thinking about it and go for it! Enjoy!

This resort was exceptional ! Service was awesome the staff amazing! Federico and angel from the breakfast buffet were so attentive and nice. Betsey was also amazing! Had an awesome time, definitely want to come back. Highly recommend!!!!

I liked the restaurants, rooms and the facility. I didn't like the spa policy of not being allowed to use all the services offered at the location. You had to choose either sauna or steam room while you were paying $280 for the treatment and to use the spa. Management has a lot of work with staff. Staff had attitude, they weren't welcoming from the checkin in process and continued in most of the service areas.

Overall, we had a fantastic stay at the property. Our room was lovely—clean, comfortable, and spacious. There was a great variety of restaurants, and the breakfast buffet was particularly excellent. Most of the food we tried at the restaurants was very good. The only downside was the pool bar closing at 5:00 p.m., with staff beginning to clear things away as early as 4:15 p.m., which felt a bit rushed and inconvenient. We’ve stayed at three or four Excellence resorts now, and this one lived up to the high standards we’ve come to expect. We would definitely return!

Well I just had the most magical vacation of my life! Let me just start by saying that I’ve stayed at a lot of all inclusive resorts, including multiple Excellence Resorts (Playa Mujeres in Mexico, and EL Carmen in DR). By far Excellence Coral exceeded every standard creating the most incredible vacation for my two year anniversary. Keep in mind that this review was not paid for or requested. This resort just deserves a ton of praise. Not only is the resort brand new, it’s absolutely stunning. The resort is modern, every space beautifully decorated, each restaurant feels unique, elegant and elevated. Attention was put into every detail. The grounds keepers were always at work, the resort is kept clean and glistening. The pools were gorgeous, wrapping the entire property, sparkling and well kept. The beach was raked and seaweed removed. The view…just heaven! Coming from a Florida girl this says a lot! With so many adults only all inclusive resorts, trying to chose the best one can be daunting. I write this review in hopes of making it easier for you. This is our new resort home. 💕 The staff go above and beyond with exceptional service! Food and drinks are exquisite and elevated. Plenty of activities to keep you engaged, but also a quiet, relaxing atmosphere. The gym is brand new and offers plenty of equipment. Expedia will not allow me to write a long enough review to say just how great this place is!

Vacaciones de terror. Desde el momento que llegué empezaron los problemas, al escanear el código qr para descargar la app del hotel en la recepción, mi teléfono empezó a vibrar y a solicitarme el código de acceso para la carpeta segura, o sea estaba hackeado, tuve que restablecerlo a los ajustes de fábrica. Me dieron una habitación que no coincidía con la que expedia mostraba en la reservación, con camas individuales en vez de matrimonial o king, además de incómodas, la sábana de una de ellas estaba sucia. Como me quejé en expedia, me cambiaron de habitación, solo que en la nueva no funcionaba el servibar, todo estaba caliente y se fugó el agua de la tina de hidromasaje, me volvieron a cambiar de habitación, al día siguiente pedí a room service que me llevaran un sacacorchos y se metieron a mi habitación sin tocar, mientras yo estaba en la tina de hidromasaje, obviamente que los corrí a gritos, el último día estaba yo tomando una siesta antes de entregar la habitación y fueron a tocarme la puerta aún con la señal de no molestar activada. La comida es regular, pedí unas chuletas de cordero, que estaban bastante duras y unos camarones al coco muy secos sobre un puré de papa insípido. A pesar de que la mayoría del personal es atenta y amable, no regresaría, han sido las peores vacaciones de mi vida.
