"The Shangri-La was an amazing stay. Upscale and classy, it may not be everyone's cup of tea, but it worked for us. From having an in-room check-in (no waiting in the lobby) to their on-site bar, confectionery store and multiple shopping options, this hotel is in a class of it's own. The only downside I can think of (and it's pretty minor) was that getting to central Bangkok will take you about 25-30mins by taxi. Not a major issue as you'll be able to see different areas that you may want to explore, but something to be aware of. "

"Every time I visit Bangkok, I stay here at the isanook hotel. I made the mistake of choosing a different hotel once because of location (I learned my lesson.) The staff here is absolutely wonderful and accommodating and all speak great English. The rooms are large and clean and have everything you need. We had a few issues with the tv and the air conditioner, and they sent someone within 5 minutes to come look at it and fix it. The pool is quiet and very relaxing. The area of the hotel is residential so you feel like you are living amongst the locals. You’re close to local restaurants and all major public transportation. The best hotel in Bangkok! "
