"The property is in a very cool area of town but it’s a dated hotel with a mildew smell. The hotel classifies itself as luxury but I would give it 3 stars at best. "
"My wife Lisa and I recently stayed at The Peninsula Bangkok while celebrating our 33rd wedding anniversary, and it was one of the most memorable hotel experiences we have ever had anywhere in the world.
The hotel went out of its way to make the occasion special. During the Peninsula’s sunset cocktail cruise on the Chao Phraya River, we were surprised with a beautiful anniversary cake. When we returned to our suite later that evening, we found another extraordinary surprise waiting for us — an additional cake, roses, heart balloons, and a beautiful card created using a photograph we had shared with the hotel. It was incredibly thoughtful and deeply touching.
Beyond that, the entire stay was flawless. Our suite was elegant and comfortable, and every member of the staff—from the front desk to the river boat team—was warm, polished, and genuinely welcoming.
Even among the many luxury hotels where we have stayed around the world, the consistency of service and attention to detail here is truly exceptional.
We will remember this stay with great fondness and look forward to returning.

"We liked the location of the Avani. Rooftop bar and restaurants were quite good. Our two issues, although they appear insignificant, did matter. We requested a 2nd luggage rack for our suitcase, only to be told we had to “make one”? Bottom line, no luggage racks available. So if you are two people in one room, it is a bit awkward. As for our other issue, some concierge are more knowledgeable than others. Birt, was exceptional. "
"I’ve been staying at Landmark since 2006, and remains my favorite in Bangkok! Maybe not the newest, but the staff is incredible! I highly recommend going for the club floors! What an amazing view and experience. Just an overall solid and amazing hotel that remembers you from stay to stay! The management and staff get a A++. They will go out of their way to make your stay a pleasure and they really go that extra mile to insure they are grateful you chose The Landmark! Great job to you all! "
