The facility was clean and had great options in terms of in house restaurants and service. It was close to everything we wanted to go to, but is about 45mins or so to and from BKK.

Comfortable and clean room with a fabulous view of the river. Great location for getting to Icon Siam, Song Wat Road, Chinatown night market, Talat Noi and Chatachuk Weekend Market. You can have one of the best hotel breakfasts with a view of the river, a wide choice of eastern and western dishes served by warm and friendly staff.

The service staff at breakfast was excellent. Breakfast order was consistent with what I expect from Shang. The receptionist at check in at Garden Wing seems clueless sending me back to KrungTiep wing accounting for my 2//3 rating. The concierge service at KrungTiep wing was disappointing unlike the Team at Garden Wing.

More like a resort than a hotel.

Located on the river and close to ferry terminal. We had a river view room which was a large siize with balcony. Service was impeccable and staff very friendly and knowledgeable. Breakfast was very good and had either indoor or outdoor options. Two nice pools as well.

I really don’t understand why this hotel has so many good reviews. The rooms are extremely dated, the hotel has an odd smell and the breakfast was mediocre. The shower in our room had a draining issue which meant the water would linger for minutes on end!!! The TV was about 20 years old and had limited cable channels. On the plus side, the staff were very friendly. Nonetheless my experience was not what I expect from a luxury hotel chain - very disappointing. Would not stay again and will not be recommending to others.

I love the Shangri La old style architecture and layout. Prime riverfront location, easy access to BTS . Great history and the building has a really peaceful energy. I slept really well here.

It’s an exclusive hotel with an old architecture from a different time, marble floors, proper wood desks, glass chandeliers. My mom, she is a senior lady, loved it and the view of the river each morning is very relaxing.
