"EXCEPTIONAL in every way. From the well appointed rooms to the stellar staff, The Civilian shined. I was shocked at how quiet the rooms were especially since the hotel is in close proximity to Times Square. We felt a million miles away from the hustle and bustle even though it was steps away. We stayed in a "Cozy" room and it felt much larger than 130 square feet. The design and efficiency plus the feng shui of the space made it feel like home. There are 3 restaurants/bars on the property with complimentary coffee and tea every day (2nd floor). From check in to departure, all of our needs were exceeded. We will stay here again. Bravo to the staff and the genius owner who conceptualized this gem."

"No breakfast, barely a lobby with no bathroom, vending machine in the lobby did not work. Checked out around 11, tagged our luggage to be left while we walked the city before heading home and for some reason they left half my luggage in the lobby for hours, and the other half was put in a storage closet, so it was temporarily lost. Customer service was terrible. "
